We warmly invite you to participate in the International Workshop on Emergency Telecommunication Systems(ETS 2013). The event will be held over the 10-13 September 2013 in Wrexham, North Wales in the UK as part of the Fifth International Conference on Internet Technologies and Applications (ITA 13).

Call for Papers

Emergency telecommunication systems play a vital role in providing essential information to emergency services and first responders. Traditionally, largely telephony-based, these services are increasingly seeking to incorporate a variety of data-oriented services – to provide both core services but also to extend the range of operation. The International Workshop on Emergency Telecommunication Systems is a research-oriented event focussed upon publishing and presenting the latest technological advancements being made in the domain.

The workshop welcomes papers addressing research, case studies and work in progress in relation to any aspect of emergency telecommunication systems. Indicative areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • 3G/4G mobile networks for emergency networks
  • Applications and services
  • Enabling data services
  • IMS or other converged solutions for emergency applications
  • Interoperability of services
  • Multimedia emergency services
  • Network Architectures
  • Network interoperability
  • Next generation systems
  • Quality of experience (QoE) modelling for emergency applications
